The Fukuoka City Step-Up Grant Program evaluates business plans proposed by founders and provides startup development subsidies to those with high‑growth potential, supporting them with funding to address challenges during their growth phase.

From a large pool of applicants, five companies were selected, and on February 4, 2022, an award ceremony and pitch presentations by the recipients were held. We also received valuable advice from members of the Fukuoka City Startup Support Group, including executives from publicly listed companies in Fukuoka.

As a result of the screening, Japan Carbon Cycle Lab, Inc. was awarded the Grand Prize.
